Looking across
the Sirhowy Valley from the Sirhowy Railway (near
Newtown, Crosskeys)
towards the "Risca Pit"
situated at Coed y Prince. The footbridge across the
River Sirhowy
can be seen towards the right of the photograph. This
gave access to the village of Full Moon.
The present day footbridge across the River Sirhowy which
leads to the Sirhowy Valley
Country Park is situated in the same place.
The whitewashed building situated to the left of the
Colliery is a farmhouse which was known
as Ty Prince.
Out of view (to the left) was the location of Rock
Vein Colliery.
